Tennessee makes the cut for in-state defensive lineman Zion Logue

Logue has a ton of interest, suddenly.

Over the past three weeks, 2019 defensive lineman Zion Logue has seen his recruitment really heat up. The 6-5, 287 pound prospect has picked up a handful of SEC offers in the month of June. His latest came last week from Nick Saban and Alabama.

Today, he has released his top eight schools — a little over two months away from his September 6th commitment date. Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Memphis, Ole Miss and Purdue joined Tennessee in Logue’s top eight.

Logue’s three-star ranking doesn’t exactly match his offer list. SEC teams are all over the big-bodied Logue, who likely fits any scheme. The Lebanon, Tennessee native would add size to the Vols’ front, which Jeremy Pruitt has prioritized since arriving in Knoxville.

Tennessee currently has two defensive line commits in their 2019 class. Both Darel Middleton and LeDarrius Cox are cut from the same mold as Logue, if you’re looking to pin down Pruitt and Kevin Sherrer’s type up front on the interior.
