Austin Price, a reporter for VolQuest.com appeared on 104.5 The Zone’s Midday 180 today to discuss the current situation with Tennessee recruit Brant Lawless. Some interesting information was brought to light today about Lawless and why he has yet to show up in Knoxville.

Price said that Lawless “is frustrated” and will not be on campus for the months of June or July. When asked if he expects Lawless to be enrolled at UT this year, Price responded with a firm “no”.

When asked about why he has yet to enroll, Lawless didn’t really seem to know why he was still at home.

“I honestly could not tell you,” Lawless said. “I have no idea. I just don’t know.” - via VolQuest.com

Only Lawless and four-star linebacker J.J. Peterson have yet to report from Tennessee’s 2018 signing class, but Peterson is expected to join the team in July.

So what’s next for the talented four-star prospect who was rated as the No. 22 defensive tackle in the nation and the No. 256 overall prospect in 2018 by 247Sports Composite Rankings?

If he doesn’t enroll at Tennessee, then JUCO is his most likely option. It’ll be interesting to see how things develop from here.
