Over the past ten days, Jaden Payoute has seen his recruitment take a dramatic turn. It wasn’t that long ago that Payoute’s only offer was from Campbell. Now, Payoute’s offer count is up to 15, including five power-five schools.
The Tennessee Volunteers are one of those five schools. The Chesterfield, Virginia native announced the offer via his Twitter account on Wednesday.

Payoute is 6-3, 195 pounds and has the ability to play receiver, cornerback or safety. He is now a four-star prospect, jumping up to the No. 2 overall player out of the state of Virginia, according to 247 Sports. He checks in as the 129th ranked player in the nation, currently.
Virginia Tech is expected to be a big player here and they’ve already got Payoute setup for a visit. Pittsburgh, Boston College, Illinois and Cincinnati have also sent offers out. Word seems to be getting out about Payoute though, so you can probably expect several additional players to emerge.
