Tennessee has thrown their name in the race for in-state defensive lineman Zion Logue. The 6-6, 288 pound prospect received an offer from the Vols this morning, per his own Twitter account.

Logue is from the Nashville area, playing just down I-40 in Lebanon, Tennessee. According to 247 Sports, Logue is a three-star prospect — the 25th ranked player in the state of Tennessee.
As Logue mentioned in his tweet, this is his third SEC offer. Both Ole Miss and Georgia have already extended offers to the big-bodied defensive end. Louisville, Memphis, Nebraska and Purdue are also in the race, along with several others.
The Vols currently show two defensive line commitments in their 2019 class. Three-star JUCO Darel Middleton and three-star LeDarrius Cox each committed to Tennessee back in April. Both have plenty of size, checking in at 6-7/290 and 6-4/305 pounds, respectively. Logue seems to be cut from that same mold.
It’s important to keep in mind that Jeremy Pruitt might not have the type of bodies he needs to run the defense he wants in year one, but that should start to change in 2019 as these bulkier, longer defensive linemen get in the program.
Logue is set to announce his decision on September 6th.
