We really weren’t expecting to write a post about Butch Jones during this year’s SEC Media Days, but Paul Finebaum gave us an opportunity we couldn’t pass up. The SEC Network and radio host absolutely unloaded on Tennessee’s former head coach, calling him a “pathetic carny barker.”
Here’s the full video below.

“A year ago, Butch Jones was disingenuous,” Finebaum said. “He was thin-skinned. He was a pathetic carny barker and he’s now gone. Tennessee fans want to see a real coach up there and they have a real coach. They also have a real athletic director, the man who should have been hired in the first place.”
Finebaum was critical of Jones last year, explaining that Jones had done a great job of lowering expectations for Tennessee fans. The Tennessee alum is clearly happy Jones is gone, saying Tennessee is finally back on the right track for the first time in a long time.
