NFL training camps are set to kick into full gear next week as the 2018 football season is almost officially upon us. The Los Angeles Rams will open camp on July 25th, with rookies reporting on July 23th. Joining that rookie class will be former Tennessee standout running back John Kelly, who was drafted in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Kelly brings his aggressive, physical running style to Los Angeles, where he will backup one of the NFL’s best backs in Todd Gurley. The Michigan native talked about his role in the video below, along with how the rookie process is going.

Kelly finished his Tennessee career with 1,573 rushing yards. His efforts against Florida and Georgia Tech won’t be forgotten, despite happening during the dreadful 2017 football season. He was a memorable player playing on such a forgettable football team.
Hopefully he can find a way on the field for the Rams.
