Another big time in-state prospect is set to announce his commitment this fall. Trey Knox, a 6-4 receiver out of the mid-state area, announced over the weekend that he will be committing on October 1st.
I will be committing October 1st
— Trey Knox Snag Crew CEO (@Fbu1Tk) July 21, 2018
Knox is the 5th ranked player out of the state of Tennessee and has been a priority for the Vols over the summer. Knox camped with the Vols back in June, catching the eye of Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt. He’s called the Vols his “hometown school,” but the Arkansas Razorbacks are coming on strong, according to 247’s crystal ball projections.
Since June, Arkansas has surged to the top of the projections for Knox. Tennessee currently sits in second, followed by Ohio State.
Knox is currently rated as a four-star prospect. At 6-4, 205 pounds, he offers a legitimate physical redzone threat. He is the 192nd ranked player in the 2019 class, checking in as the 30th ranked receiver.
