Tennessee among schools working hard to flip nation’s No. 1 receiver Jadon Haselwood from Georgia

The Vols are looking to get an official visit from Haselwood.

Jadon Haselwood SBNation Recruiting

The nation’s No. 1 receiver has been committed to Georgia for over 16 months now. While nothing has changed on that front for now, five-star Jadon Haselwood hasn’t exactly slammed the door shut on his recruitment.

“I’m solid, until further notice,” Jadon Haselwood told SBNation’s Bud Elliott. The 6-2 receiver said he hears from Georgia coaches all the time, but also says that a handful of particular schools are coming hard after him, trying to pull off a flip.

“Auburn, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida State, and Miami,” he said when asked which schools are trying the hardest to flip him.

Haselwood plans on seeing some of those schools this fall and the Tennessee Volunteers are in the running to land his final official visit slot. Georgia, Oklahoma, Miami and Florida State will fill four of his five visits. Auburn and Tennessee are competing to get that final official visit this fall.

So what is the nation’s top receiver looking for in terms of an on-field fit? According to him, it just comes down to how he fits into the offense.

“I really don’t pay attention to stats. I just want to see what they run. I want to see if I fit in that offense.”

Haselwood is the 6th ranked player in the 2019 class, according to 247 Sports. The Ellenwood, Georgia native unofficially visited Knoxville on February 3rd. He saw Auburn twice in the month of June.

While he remains committed to Georgia, Haselwood is still going to weigh all of his options. This is one to keep in the back of your mind this fall.
