Tennessee Basketball Recruiting: Vols send out two more offers

A couple of names to file away.

Tennessee and Rick Barnes are staying busy on the recruiting trail. After making an in-state offer last week, the Vols have sent out two more offers this week. First up is Caleb Mills, a 6-3 guard in the 2019 class.

Mills has yet to be ranked by 247 Sports or Rivals, but he’s collecting quite the list of offers. Tennessee joined Houston, Clemson, Florida State, Auburn, Cincinnati, Marquette, Xavier and several others in the race for Mills. The combo guard out of North Carolina currently has three crystal ball projections pointing towards Houston.

Tennessee also made another 2020 offer, reaching out to center Dain Dainja. The 6-8, 240 pound prospect is out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dainja is ranked just outside of 247 Sports’ top 100 for 2020, checking in at 105th overall. He is the 16th ranked center in the class. Dainja holds 15 offers from top tier programs all across the country.

Tennessee currently holds two commitments — forwards Drew Pember and Davonte Gaines — in their 2019 recruiting class. That’s good enough for 14th place in the class rankings for now, but that’s sure to change in a big way by next spring.
