Tennessee cracks the top five for four-star athlete Mark-Antony Richards

Mark Antony Richards Top Five SBNation Recruiting

On Sunday afternoon, four-star athlete Mark Richards announced his top five schools. The West Palm Beach, Florida native included the Tennessee Volunteers on his list, along with Florida, Auburn, Penn State and Miami.

Richards noted in his announcement that these five schools were his final five choices.

The 6-0, 205 pound athlete is the younger brother of Miami receiver Ahmmon Richards. That connection is likely one of the reasons why the Hurricanes hold a big lead in 247’s crystal ball projections. Miami is seven for seven right now in the projections.

Richards is the 77th ranked player in the 2019 class and the 4th ranked athlete, according to 247 Sports. Where he will play at the next level remains a mystery. He has the ability to take on a running back or receiver role on offense, but also plays defensive back for Wellington High School. Richards put up over 1,500 yards from scrimmage as a junior last season.

He currently has an official visit schedule with Auburn this fall and likely will take one to Miami as well. We’ll see if Tennessee, Florida or Penn State can get in on that action over the next few months.
