Tennessee has landed their fourth offensive line commitment of the 2019 class today, earning a commitment from Melvin McBride this afternoon. The in-state offensive guard announced his pledge on Twitter.

McBride is a 6-4, 315 pound offensive lineman out of the Memphis area. He is the 17th rated prospect out of Tennessee and the ranked ranked guard in the 2019 class, according to 247 Sports. Tennessee also holds a commitment from four-star guard Jackson Lampley, who is the 12th ranked guard in the nation.
The Whitehaven High School product chose Tennessee over Arkansas, Louisville and the hometown Memphis Tigers. McBride is yet another example of a prospect who attended camp with the Vols and earned an offer. That happened back in June, which brought the Vols into McBride’s top options. He narrowed his list to five schools on August 1st, committing just three weeks later.
McBride joins Lampley, five-star tackle Wanya Morris and three-star tackle Chris Akporoghene in the Vols’ 2019 class. Tennessee is still in play for five-star tackle Darnell Wright also, which could give the Vols an absurd offensive line haul to finish out this year’s cycle.
