Good things come to those who wait—at least that’s what I’ve heard. I’m not sure I would call it panic, but Tennessee fans were rightfully wondering when head coach Jeremy Pruitt would be able to address arguably his biggest need. It took until late July, but suddenly, Tennessee is looking pretty good at cornerback.
The Vols have surged over the summer months, landing cornerbacks Warren Burrell and Tyus Fields. The Vols also gained commitments from Anthony Harris and Jaylen McCollough during that span.
Are we about to see another? If you pay attention to 247’s crystal ball projections, Pruitt just might be ready to land one more.
Hill is the 27th ranked cornerback in the country, checking in at 262nd overall in the 247 Sports Composite. Hill comes out of Madison, Alabama, which probably can be considered Jeremy Pruitt’s wheelhouse.
A commitment from Hill would go a long way in solidifying Pruitt’s efforts to rebuild the Tennessee secondary. He may have struck out near the end of the 2018 cycle, but he and his staff have made up for it this summer. Let’s see if the Vols can finish the job here with Hill.
