It’s football time in Tennessee!

Tennessee will kick off the Jeremy Pruitt era in Charlotte, North Carolina today, taking on the West Virginia Mountaineers in the Belk Kickoff Classic. Dana Holgorsen’s squad sits at No. 17 in the AP Poll to start the year.

The Vols will be getting their second look at quarterback Will Grier, who somehow managed to beat Tennessee in 2015 as a member of the Florida Gators. He’s since transferred, landing in Morgantown with the Mountaineers. He powers a potent offense that is expected to be one of the best in the country in 2018.

Tennessee is still an unknown for the most part, set to play game one under new head coach Jeremy Pruitt. The Vols went 4-8 last season under Butch Jones, but return a decent amount of talent for the new staff this season. We’ll quickly find out how far they’ve come.
