SEC releases Tennessee’s 2019 football schedule

The SEC released the full slate for the 2019 season today, completing Tennessee’s schedule for next season. The schedule is highlighted by a first ever meeting with BYU and a cross-division game against Mississippi State.

Sept. 7: BYU

Sept. 14: Chattanooga

Sept. 21: at Florida

Sept. 28: OPEN DATE

Oct. 5: Georgia

Oct. 12: Mississippi State

Oct. 19: at Alabama

Oct. 26: South Carolina

Nov. 2: UAB

Nov. 9: Kentucky

Nov. 16: OPEN DATE

Nov. 23: at Missouri

Nov. 30: Vanderbilt

It’s not quite the gauntlet that the Vols will face this season, but that’s still a challenging stretch from Florida to South Carolina. Mississippi State replaces Auburn on the schedule next year, but the Bulldogs likely won’t be anything to scoff at. A bye week sets up nicely, splitting up the Florida and Georgia contests.
