Tennessee may have just landed their biggest recruit since Tobias Harris, but the work isn’t done in the 2019 class. Rick Barnes is still searching for depth at the guard position with a few names still on the table.
One of those names is Tyrell Jones — a 6-1, 170 pound combo guard prospect out of Orlando, Florida. Jones named his top 12 yesterday, which included Tennessee.
At this time I wanna thank all the colleges that recruited me but at this time here are the schools that have been recruiting me the hardest and I will decide from. #DECISIONS pic.twitter.com/WsRKA895OX

Ole Miss, Florida, Auburn, Georgia, Clemson, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Western Kentucky, SMU, Minnesota and Iowa State round out Jones’ top options for now.
Jones is the 87th ranked prospect in the 2019 class, checking in at No. 11 in the combo guard rankings, according to 247 Sports. 247’s crystal ball projections all point towards Bruce Pearl’s Tigers as the landing spot for Jones. Eight predictions have now been registered in favor of Auburn.
Tennessee currently has three commitments in the 2019 class, including five star combo guard Josiah James. Forwards Drew Pember and Davonte Gaines make up the remainder of the class. The possibility of Pember reclassifying to 2020 remains a possibility, however. Guards Jalen Lecque and Issac McBride remain options in the class as well.
