Tennessee’s starting center Brandon Kennedy will reportedly miss the remainder of the 2018 season after suffering a knee injury during practice on Tuesday, according to Austin Price of VolQuest.
BREAKING: Tennessee is again battling the injury bug. Starting center Brandon Kennedy has suffered a season ending knee injury.https://t.co/CbAkuHMaG7— Austin Price (@AustinPriceless) September 5, 2018
Kennedy started Tennessee’s season opener against West Virginia after joining the Vols this year as a graduate transfer from Alabama.
Tennessee’s offensive line did not look particularly impressive in the first game of the season, and it will now require some more shuffling. Ryan Johnson will likely move back to center, leaving a spot open at guard.
Kennedy still has one year of eligibility remaining after this season.
