Four-star JUCO linebacker Lakia Henry officially decommitted from Tennessee on Saturday afternoon. Henry had been committed to Tennessee since May. He was one of three Tennessee commits who didn’t sign during the early signing period.

This had been brewing for a while with Florida State and Arkansas coming on strong for Henry. You get the feeling that the staff had an idea that this was coming, considering their new interest in in-state linebacker Chris Russell.
Henry is the third-ranked player and the No. 1 ranked inside linebacker in the 2019 JUCO ranks, according to 247 Sports. Linebacker remains a need in this class, with only one signed in athlete Quavaris Crouch, who could land at either of the four linebacker spots in the front seven.
Other unsigned prospects Anthony Harris and LeDarrius Cox could also be candidates to decommit this month. As we’ve quickly figured out, if you don’t sign in December, you’re probably not really even committed anymore.
