Tennessee vs. Mississippi State: How to watch and Gamethread

Tennessee is 1-4 and in desperate need of a win. The opening loss to Georgia State followed by the heartbreaking (and totally unnecessary) loss to BYU took the life out of this season before it even began.

But Brian Maurer may have woken up a dead season last week against Georgia. The freshman quarterback kept Tennessee competitive for two quarters against the No. 3 Bulldogs, offering a little something to build on going forward.

His next test is Mississippi State, which sits at 3-2 on the year. Tennessee will have their hands full with a potent rushing attack today, but they’ve got a real chance to stop the bleeding today in Neyland Stadium
