Tennessee’s narrow path to a bowl game kicks into high gear today as the South Carolina Gamecocks come to town. The Volunteers are sitting at 2-5, but they’ve made some big strides over the last few weeks. Now with a softer back half, it’s time to string together some wins.

They’ve got a tough task ahead of them today, facing a South Carolina team that started slow, but has figured it out recently. The Gamecocks beat Georgia on the road, then nearly did the same to the Gators a week later.

Without quarterback Brian Maurer, it’s going to be interesting to see if Tennessee has enough juice to win this one. Will they roll with Jarrett Guarantano? Or will we see redshirt freshman JT Shrout?
