The 1-3 Tennessee Volunteers are back in action tonight, facing off against the 4-0 Georgia Bulldogs. Georgia is the third ranked team in the country, fresh off of a win over Notre Dame two weeks ago. Both teams are coming off of an open date.
Tennessee has added some intrigue to this one, opting to start true freshman quarterback Brian Maurer over fourth-year junior Jarrett Guarantano. The offense has sputtered with Guarantano running the show this year in a season which was supposed to see Jarrett take a step forward.
A new era begins tonight in one of Tennessee’s two toughest games of the season.
