Fans are feeling better than they did before the blowout loss to Georgia.

Usually a blowout loss will cause your confidence in your team to drop, but that’s not the case in this week’s FanPulse survey.

The Vols (1-4) lost to the Georgia Bulldogs (5-0) by a score of 43-14 on Saturday, but it was Tennessee’s new starting quarterback, Brian Maurer, who had the Vols ahead 14-10 in the second quarter.

Obviously, Georgia pulled away and won the game in dominating fashion, however, Maurer showed some promise and is likely the main reason for the rise in confidence.

As for the RTT Top 25, Auburn dropped out of the top-10 and Florida passed Notre Dame for the eighth spot in the poll. Penn State now sits at 10th, while Auburn is 11th.

Arizona State (19th), Wake Forest (20th), SMU (22nd), Oklahoma State (23rd), and Wake Forest (20th) are in this week’s poll after being left out last week.
