Following a January offer and a February visit, Tennessee has landed in the top five options for four-star linebacker Mohamed Kaba. The Clinton, North Carolina product released his top schools on Thursday, which had a heavy Carolina feel.

All the schools I haven’t visited yet I still have interest
North Carolina, Duke, South Carolina and N.C. State rounded out his top five.
Kaba is a top 100 prospect in the class of 2020. He’s the 74th ranked prospect and the 4th ranked outside linebacker prospect, according to 247 Sports. The 6-3, 210 pound linebacker prospect has the size to play any of the four linebacker positions in Derrick Ansley’s defense.
Tennessee did a really nice job in the 2019 cycle adding Quavaris Crouch, Roman Harrison and Henry To’oto’o into the mix at linebacker. Kaba seems to be in the same mold. He has played primarily on the inside in high school, but as Pruitt has maintained since he’s been at Tennessee, he’s looking for guys that can play all four linebacker positions. “4 for 4” prospects, as he described.
Kaba has picked up some big offers in recent weeks from Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Florida and Nebraska. With the currently look of his top five, it will be interesting to see if some of these schools further out can gain any traction.
