Podcast: Talking through the Colgate and Iowa wins; Quick look at Purdue

Plenty to discuss here.

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-Second Round-Iowa vs Tennessee Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Sweet sixteen.

On the surface, Tennessee has accomplished what they’ve come to the NCAA Tournament to do — win. You can’t argue with results.

However, it’s been difficult for the Vols. Colgate’s Jordan Burns nearly single-handedly ended the tournament hopes of Tennessee. A total second half meltdown against Iowa could have very easily sent the Vols packing. Those inconsistencies have to get ironed out in a hurry if Tennessee wants to get by Purdue and Carsen Edwards.

On today’s podcast, Evan and I will dive into some of those inconsistencies, plus take a quick look at Purdue.

  • Colgate’s plan to contain Grant Williams
  • Jordan Burns heroics
  • Tennessee’s dominant first half vs. Iowa
  • .....Tennessee’s collapse against Iowa
  • Defensive intensity inconsistency
  • Look ahead to Purdue.
