After Saturday’s Orange and White Game, Tennessee got a bit of good news. Jimmy Calloway, an athlete out of Morrow, Georgia, committed to the Vols last night. His commitment gives Tennessee their 6th player in their 2020 class.
In Calloway, Tennessee gets a potential fit on both sides of the ball. “I want to play offense,” Calloway told Volquest. “Slot receiver. I’’m (see) myself like a Desean Jackson. But when I came over there they talked to me a little about defense, too.”
Here’s a quick look at what he brings to the table.
Calloway appears as the 787th ranked player in the 247 Sports Composite. He’s a three-star prospect and the 84th ranked player out of the state of Georgia.
Tennessee offered Calloway back on January 25th. He quickly visited Knoxville the following weekend and has committed just two months later. Calloway chose Tennessee over offers from Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Oregon and Colorado State.
Following this commitment, Tennessee jumped up to 22nd in the early 2020 recruiting class rankings.
