Watch: Tennessee receivers coach Tee Martin mic’d up during spring practice

A look at Tee in action.

New Tennessee receivers coach Tee Martin got the mic’d up treatment as spring ball came to a close last week in Knoxville. The former Tennessee signal caller returned home this offseason, taking over the receiver position for Jeremy Pruitt, while also becoming one of the key recruiters on the staff.

Below is a cool look at Martin in action, coaching up his guys during a spring practice.

“We’re going to play fast, we’re going to play tough and we’re going to make plays,” Martin said in the video. “Ultimately, at the end of the day when it’s one on one, the receivers have to go out and make plays, and that’s what we’re going to do here with this receiver unit.”

Martin will get the luxury of coaching four senior receivers this year in Marquez Callaway, Jauan Jennings, Tyler Byrd and Brandon Johnson. Next year is where he’ll really have to earn his money as a coach.

As a recruiter, he’s already making headway on a big five-star target in Rakim Jarrett. He’s also seeming to make up some ground on four-star E.J. Williams. It’s early, but it certainly feels like the position is in good hands with Tee back on campus.
