Vols Offer Top Ranked JUCO Corner

Tennessee already has a commitment from the top player in the JUCO ranks for the 2020 class with Jordan Davis. On Tuesday, the Vols offered the second ranked JUCO player for the 2020 class.

Brian George is a three star corner from Belle Glade, Florida. He tweeted Tuesday morning that he was “truly blessed” to receive an offer from the Vols.

Tennessee is the 17th school to offer George, joining the likes of Auburn, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and a handful of other power five schools.

According to 247sports’ rankings, the 6-foot-2, 190 pound corner is a three star prospect, the top ranked JUCO corner in the nation, the second ranked JUCO player in the nation and the top ranked JUCO player in the state. He is a player that can see a serious ratings boost between now and signing day, as his recruitment has really been heating up of late.

George currently plays for Highland Community College in Kansas. He had a breakout year as a freshman, securing a handful of interceptions and reaching the end zone several times, catching the eye of a lot of top programs.

Looking at the film, the athletic corner oozes potential. He is a fast and physical player and he isn’t afraid to hit. He is a very institutional player and has a nose for the ball. George excels in man coverage and does a great job playing the ball. He helps generate a lot of turnovers and is very comfortable in press coverage which aligns perfectly with the defensive ideology of the Vols. The rising sophomore also flashes as a return man.

It is still very early in the process with George but there is certainly some early momentum for the Vols.
