The 5-9, 165 pound defensive back is a three-star prospect, ranking as the 606th prospect in the 2020 class, according to 247 Sports. He only has one crystal ball projection right now, which points to Arizona State.
Williams visited Arizona State and Tennessee this spring, while visiting Oregon during their spring game. South Carolina was Williams’ only other SEC offer.
Tennessee has made a few new offers at the cornerback position this week, mainly focusing on JUCO prospects. The Vols have a nice young core with Alontae Taylor, Bryce Thompson, Tyus Fields and Warren Burrell at the position, but you can never have enough defensive backs in today’s game.
On his highlight tape, Williams flashes some ball skills despite his 5-9 frame. He may be small, but he’s aggressive and more than willing to create some contact.
