Four-star quarterback Harrison Bailey has been the centerpiece of Tennessee’s 2020 recruiting class since he chose the Vols over Michigan back in November of 2018. The 5th ranked pro-style passer in the 2020 class, Bailey didn’t need much help selling himself as a prospect.
But this weekend, he took home the Charlotte regional quarterback MVP trophy at The Opening regional event. He also earned an invite to the Elite 11 finals, which will be held in late June, along with The Opening’s final event.
Both Jarrett Guarantano and Brian Maurer have participated in this event in previous years.

Bailey is the 9th ranked prospect in the state of Georgia and comes from the same high school as Ramel Keyton did last year. Bailey chose the Vols over a number of big time offers, including Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan and Oklahoma.
The Georgia product has also been selected to play in the 2020 All-American Bowl.
Tennessee only has one upperclassman at the quarterback position right now in Jarrett Guarantano. JT Shrout and Brian Maurer are competing for the backup role currently, but it will be pretty interesting to see what Bailey does upon arrival in Knoxville.
