After picking up an offer in late February, Tennessee hosted JUCO cornerback prospect Art Green in Knoxville over the weekend. The 6-2 defensive back has emerged as a target for the Vols, who are looking at add some size at the position.
Green noted his visit on Twitter on Saturday.

Green is currently unranked by any of the major recruiting services, but his offer list doesn’t match his unranked status. The offers began rolling in for Green in February with the first coming from South Carolina. Tennessee quickly followed, then Arkansas, Georgia, Texas A&M, Florida, Kentucky and Ole Miss followed.
Arkansas State initially earned Green’s commitment out of high school. He signed as a member of the class of 2018, but ended up taking the JUCO route. Two years later, his offer list is much more impressive. Green is currently enrolled at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas.
Tennessee has a young core of Alontae Taylor and Bryce Thompson returning at cornerback. They added four-star Tyus Field and three-star Warren Burrell in the 2019 class, but you can never have enough depth at defensive back.
Green has the prototypical length to excel in press man coverage. He shows plenty of ability to turn and run and his highlight tape is littered with pass breakups down the field. Green hauled in six picks in his freshman season at Hutchinson, which likely explains all of his new offers in recent months.
