Tennessee already picked up a big defensive back commitment earlier this week. On Sunday, they’ll be looking for another.
Four-star cornerback Joel Williams is down to three final options, one of which being Tennessee. Florida and LSU make up the rest of his final three. The Louisiana native will make his decision on Sunday night at 7 p.m. ET.

Williams ranks as the 233rd overall player in the 2020 class, according to the 247 Sports Composite. He is the 9th rated prospect out of the state of Louisiana and listed as the 13th overall athlete.
He’s seen Knoxville three times this year alone, but is visiting Florida one more time this weekend ahead of his final decision. 247’s crystal ball projections are split on Williams, with both Florida and LSU receiving votes as of Saturday afternoon.
The Vols have added the six-foot-two Art Green to their 2020 class, who is the No. 1 ranked JUCO player in the cycle. They have a chance to add more length here with Williams, who checks in at 6-1, 180 pounds.
Jeremy Pruitt has revamped Tennessee’s secondary, which was in a bad spot when Pruitt arrived. Alontae Taylor and Bryce Thompson have emerged as solid young pieces, while freshman Jaylen McCollough flashed in the spring game.
Williams could give Pruitt and defensive coordinator Derrick Ansley more immediate depth if he lands in Knoxville. We’ll all find out on Sunday night.
