Tennessee baseball has returned to the SEC Tournament for the first time since 2016. The Vols earned a No. 9 seed in next week’s tournament in Hoover, meaning they will face the 8th seeded Auburn Tigers on Tuesday.
Tennessee ended the regular season with a 38-18 mark, going 14-16 in SEC play.
The Vols will play in the third game of the day, which is slated to start at 5:10 p.m ET. You can catch the game live on SEC Network. The winner will moved on to the double-eliminator portion of the tournament and will face the Vanderbilt Commodores next.
Tennessee hasn’t won a tournament game in Hoover since 2007. They haven’t been to an NCAA regional since 2005, but they’re in a good spot to do just that this season.
The Vols were swept by Auburn in Knoxville earlier in the season. They’ll have a chance for some redemption now with a little more on the line.
