Tennessee already has one four-star defensive tackle commit in their current 2020 class. They’re now in the mix with another following a recent offer.

Four-star defensive tackle Westley Neal trimmed his list to eight over the weekend, including Tennessee is his list of top choices.

Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, South Florida, Rutgers and Indiana also made the final eight with the Vols.

Neal attends Gulliver Prep School in Miami, Florida. He checked in at 6-0, 317 pounds at The Opening regional back in February. According to the 247 Sports composite rankings, Neal is the 304th ranked player in the 2020 class. He’s the 30th ranked defensive tackle and the 44th rated player in the state of Florida.

He picked up his offer from Tennessee on May 8th.

Tennessee has one 2020 defensive tackle commit in Dominic Bailey currently. Jeremy Pruitt has worked hard on this group, adding plenty of size to the Tennessee front since he arrived in Knoxville. Neal certainly fits that bill.

Neal is a shorter defensive line prospect, but that doesn’t stop him from being productive on the field. He was credited with 19 tackles for loss last season, giving him a total of 41 for his career.

Here’s a quick look at what he brings to the table.
