In just a matter of days, Admiral Schofield will find out his final NBA destination. The 6-6 senior and unquestioned leader of the Tennessee basketball program is going through the NBA Draft process for the second season in a row after opting to return to Knoxville after his junior season.
Schofield went through a workout with the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday and got a chance to show a little of his personality afterwards to the media.

“I’ve never seen so many pine trees in my life,” Schofield said of the Portland scenery. “The air is like, really fresh. The tap water is amazing.”
The potential first round draft pick then moved on to basketball questions.
“I’ve been through the fire with Coach Barnes,” Schofield said. “I understand coming in, the way to help us win and to get on the floor is defense, and not just scoring. That’s the same way it’s going to be in this league. They pay guys like Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum millions to score the ball. (Portland) needs guys who can do the little things. I’m that guy.”
The Trail Blazers hold the 25th pick in Thursday’s draft — directly in the range of both Admiral Schofield and Grant Williams.
On Monday, ESPN’s latest mock draft had Williams going 30th to Milwaukee and Schofield landing at 38th overall to Chicago.
