Holmes is a top 200 prospect, ranking 192nd in the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. Holmes is the 30th rated prospect in the loaded state of Florida and the 9th ranked athlete overall in the 2020 class.
Holmes picked up his Tennessee offer on February 20th.
The 5-11, 179 pound athlete ran an impressive 4.49 in the 40 yard dash and put up a 38 inch vertical at The Opening Regional in February. He was named “the fastest man” at that event in Orlando.
At Cocoa High School, Holmes works as both a running back and a defensive back. He ran for 1,196 yards as a junior, scoring 18 total touchdowns in his first year as a featured piece of the offense.
Holmes has taken official visits to both Kentucky and Penn State to this point. Tennessee will be his third official. Holmes has seen Florida State on a few unofficial visits, dating back to the beginning stages of his recruitment. Both Penn State and Florida State hold crystal ball projections for the electric tailback.
