Tennessee has picked up a commitment from three-star offensive guard Javontez Spraggins tonight. The 6-3, 336 pound prospect is the first offensive line commit of the 2020 cycle for the Vols.

“I would like to say a thanks to my family, my coaches, my teammates and everyone who helped me through this whole process,” Spraggins said in his tweet. “I can’t believe I’m in this position. Just two weeks ago I had 1 offer and decided to make a change. So I did and it paid off and now I’m glad to say that I’m 746% Committed to The University of Tennessee.”

He is Tennessee’s 7th current commitment of the 2020 cycle. Spraggins earned his Tennessee offer after camping with the Vols in Knoxville.

Spraggins is out of East St. Louis, Illinois. He’s the 873rd ranked prospect in the country and the 50th ranked guard prospect in the 2020 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He’s down from 366 pounds from a previous weigh in at The Opening regionals.

Update: His high school teammate Antonio Johnson also committed to Tennessee on Friday night. Johnson is a four-star, top 200 safety.
