After picking up their first wide receiver commitment last week, Tennessee has landed in the top six of another 2020 pass catching target.

Kenton Poitier announced his top six on Saturday, which placed Tennessee alongside of South Carolina, Syracuse, Florida State, Florida and Louisville.

The 6-3, 205 pound receiver is out of Miami, Florida. Despite his three-star billing, Poitier has an impressive offer list. Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Auburn and Oregon are just some of the other teams to send out an offer to Poitier.

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Poitier checks in as the 563rd overall prospect in the 2020 class.

Poitier camped with Tennessee in June after picking up his offer from the Vols back in February.

Tennessee’s pursuit of receivers in the 2020 class has been well documented. The Vols will see four senior receivers walk out of the door after this season, meaning they’ll be set to replace a ton of snaps at the position. Jeremy Pruitt noted that last week during SEC Media Days, making his not-so-subtle plea to the class of 2020 receivers.

On the field, Poitier is a big bodied receiver who specializes in winning during 50-50 situations. He seems to fit the mold of what Tennessee currently has in Jauan Jennings and Josh Palmer.

Poitier caught 29 passes for 538 yards in 2018, snagging eight touchdowns.
