Just weeks after receiving an official visit, Tennessee has made the cut for four-star athlete Caziah Holmes. The Cocoa, Florida native trimmed his list to seven on Tuesday, including Tennessee alongside of Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, Penn State, Miami and Auburn.

Holmes is a top 200 prospect in the 2020 class, checking in at 190th overall in the 247 Sports Composite rankings. He’s the 9th rated athlete in the class and the 28th ranked prospect in the loaded state of Florida.
The 5-11, 179 pound athlete plays on both sides of the ball, primarily at running back. He ran for 1,196 yards last season, averaging 6.6 yards per carry. Holmes scored 15 rushing touchdowns in 2018, adding three more as a pass catcher.
Tennessee has one current running back commit in Tee Hodge, who fills the ‘big back’ role in this class for the Vols. Holmes could add some much needed juice to the offense, bringing verified 4.4 speed to the table.
Penn State and Kentucky have gotten official visits from Holmes to this point, along with Tennessee. The Nittany Lions currently hold five of six crystal ball projections, according to 247 Sports.
Holmes plans to commit on August 9th, so this battle is one to keep an eye on over the next few weeks.
