Tennessee has already secured two high profile commitments in the class of 2020, which is good enough to land them in the top five classes according to 247 Sports. Currently with one scholarship still open, Rick Barnes and staff are still after a handful of other targets within the class.
Five-star guard Jaden Springer is probably the headliner, but four-star power forward P.J. Hall has also been in the mix. Hall recently named Tennessee to his final five, now he’s scheduled his official visits for this fall, according to HoopSeen.com.
Justin Young reports that Hall will take the following trips as his official visits.
Clemson: September 6th
Florida: September 20th
Virginia Tech: October 11th
Tennessee: October 18th
Georgia Tech: November 1st
Hall is 6-9, 220 pounds and comes out of Roebuck, South Carolina. He’s the 65th ranked player in the 2020 class, according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.
Tennessee is lacking experienced depth in the frontcourt after losing Grant Williams, Kyle Alexander, D.J. Burns and Derrick Walker this offseason. Going forward, they’ll have 7-footer Uros Plavsic, along with two more seasons of John Fulkerson. Olivier Robinson-Nkamhoua, Drew Pember and Zach Kent Round out the big man equation for now.
Hall would be immediate depth off the bench, which the Volunteers could certainly use.
