Another top in-state priority has named a top five this afternoon. Jay Hardy, a four-star defensive line prospect out of Chattanooga, Tennessee, named the Volunteers to his top choices. Kentucky, Georgia, Florida and Georgia Tech rounded out his top five.

Hardy is a 6-4, 290 pound defensive lineman who ranks as the 100th overall player in the 2020 class, according to 247 Sports. The four-star prospect attends McCallie School and sits as the 3rd ranked player in the state of Tennessee.
Hardy has visited Tennessee five times in 2019, the latest coming on July 27th. The Volunteers hold all of the crystal ball projections for Hardy, going a perfect three for three right now.
Tennessee currently holds a commitment from Keshawn Lawrence, the No. 2 player in the state of Tennessee. They’re in a good spot with Hardy and have also landed in the top five of Tyler Baron — the 4th ranked player in the state. Those three would form a nice core group in this class, along with Harrison Bailey and B.J. Ojulari.
