Tennessee has started their 2019 season 1-3 — and it’s not going to get any easier. Next up is a bye this week, but then the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs will come to town. Georgia will also have a bye this week, following their win over then No. 7 Notre Dame on Saturday night.
Tennessee and Georgia will kickoff at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, October 5th at Neyland Stadium. The game will be shown on ESPN, the SEC announced today.

Tennessee put up a decent fight against Georgia on the road last year, cutting the lead to 24-12 late in the going. The Bulldogs were able to put away the Volunteers in the 4th quarter without too many issues, however.
Georgia is 1-0 in conference play to this point, opening their season with a 30-6 victory over Vanderbilt. They breezed through weeks two and three, picking up blowout wins over Murray State and Arkansas State.
Other games of interest on October 5th that were announced this morning were Auburn at Florida at 3:30 ET on CBS and Vanderbilt at Ole Miss at 7:30 ET on SEC Network.
Following this matchup against Georgia, Tennessee will face a home matchup against Mississippi State and then a trip to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama.
But first, a much needed bye this week.
