It’s Georgia week, and well — optimism isn’t exactly high for Tennessee fans entering this one. The third-ranked Bulldogs are on a roll, while Tennessee has started year two of the Jeremy Pruitt era at 1-3.

The two programs could not be more different right now. That will likely be on display under the lights at Neyland Stadium on Saturday night, live on ESPN.

Bringing even more attention to the matchup, SEC Nation will make an appearance in Knoxville. The SEC’s Saturday morning pregame show will be live on the campus of Tennessee this weekend. The announcement was made this morning.

Why? Take a look around the league next week.

  • Auburn at Florida (College Gameday matchup)
  • Utah State at LSU
  • Vanderbilt at Ole Miss
  • Troy at Missouri

It may be the lightest week in SEC history, which will result in Tennessee hosting SEC Nation.

We don’t have the opening spread for this one just yet, but most expect it to be somewhere in the mid-20s in favor of Georgia. Tennessee turned in a respectable effort last year in Athens, cutting it to a two-score game in the 4th quarter.

Both teams are coming off of a bye week — a much needed one for Tennessee. It will be interesting to see how this staff adjusts after a horrific start.
