SEC week four is suddenly a little lighter. Both Vanderbilt-Missouri and LSU-Florida have been postponed due to ongoing COVID outbreaks within the Florida and Vanderbilt programs.
There may only be five games on the conference slate this week, but this is still one of the most consequential weeks of the year. Georgia and Alabama will meet in Tuscaloosa on Saturday night, an early season showdown that could have divisional ramifications. Our staff here at RTT is split right down the middle on this one, understandably so.
Ole Miss-Arkansas, South Carolina-Auburn, Tennessee-Kentucky and Texas A&M-Mississippi State make up the rest of the week. We were all in agreement on Tennessee over Kentucky and Texas A&M over Mississippi State, but disagreed on Arkansas-Ole Miss.
I went out on a limb this week and picked South Carolina to knock off Auburn. The Gamecocks seemingly win one game that they’re not supposed to win each year, and Auburn just isn’t all that impressive to this point.
As for the spread picks, well, they’re all over the place. Check it all out below.
