Welcome to the SEC’s week five. We’ve got four games on the slate this week, with Tennessee-Alabama getting the CBS treatment at 3:30 p.m. ET. The Volunteers have a tough task ahead — rebounding against perhaps the best team in the country after a blowout loss to Kentucky last weekend.
Jeremy Pruitt is undecided on the quarterback position for this game, bringing some added intrigue here. The Crimson Tide will bring its high-powered offense to Knoxville, looking to win their 14th straight game against the Volunteers.
Three of the four members of our staff expects Alabama to cover a three touchdown spread. We’re also all picking Kentucky to handle the Missouri Tigers.
The staff is split on the Ole Miss-Auburn matchup, which could turn out to be a fun one. Can Auburn’s struggling offense find their way against a really bad Ole Miss defense? Probably. This one will come down to Auburn’s defense against Lane Kiffin’s high-flying offense.
Clint made the bold pick this week, selecting the South Carolina Gamecocks to get another big win, this time over LSU.
