The Tennessee secondary sounds like it will be back to full song on Saturday afternoon against the Georgia Bulldogs. Shawn Shamburger, who mans the nickel spot for Tennessee, has missed the first two games of the season, but is set to make his 2020 debut this weekend.
Jeremy Pruitt also confirmed that cornerback Bryce Thompson, who was limited against Missouri, will be a full go against the Bulldogs.
Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt said Shawn Shamburger (star position) will play. He also said several DBs could play the star since UT teaches concepts in secondary cuz it helps players' value and UT's depth. He also said CB Bryce Thompson (limited last Saturday) is ready to go.

Tennessee got back starting safety Jaylen McCollough against Missouri last weekend after he was limited in the opener against South Carolina. It was a bumpy start for the secondary against the Gamecocks — understandably so with all the absences. Now in week three, Tennessee has a chance to show what this veteran secondary can really do.
It couldn’t come at a better time for the Vols, who will be trying to upset the No. 3 ranked team in the country on Saturday afternoon.
Tennessee and Georgia will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET. CBS will have the coverage.
