We’ve heard whispers, but the Tennessee basketball twitter account officially announced a game against Gonzaga to occur on December 2nd.
It's really happening.

I guess we can call this a rematch — Tennessee gave the then-fourth-ranked ‘Zags their first loss of the season in 2018-2019.
Perhaps you remember Admiral Schofield going silly for 30 points and six 3s, including this game-winning dagger from deep.
This matchup was so much fun to watch last time, but I think Barnes knows how good his team potentially is and wants them tested early in the season. Gonzaga is college basketball’s No. 1 ranked preseason team — so I’m not really surprised ‘Zags coach Mark Few agreed to the rematch. I’m sure he’d like another shot at the Vols considering how close the game was last time.
The (12) Tennessee (1) Gonzaga matchup will be the first game of the Jimmy V Classic on ESPN with (8) Illinois playing (2) Baylor as the night cap.
