SEC Football Week 13: Picks Against the Spread, Straight Up

New, 7 comments
NCAA Football: Alabama at Auburn John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

For the second time in the past three weeks, Tennessee is on a surprise bye week. The Volunteers had their game with Vanderbilt postponed earlier this week, so the SEC could move some pieces around in an effort to get every possible game in by December 19th.

With the Vols once again off — and the basketball team delayed by COVID — attention will be other storylines around the SEC this weekend.

The Iron Bowl will be front and center for SEC fans, as Auburn tries to hand Alabama their first loss of the season. Gus Malzahn has had Alabama’s number through the years, and Saturday will be yet another opportunity for him to pull something out of his hat.

LSU-Texas A&M is another intriguing game, while the Egg Bowl is sure to be pure insanity as always — even more so with Lane Kiffin and Mike Leach roaming the sidelines.

You’ll find our staff’s picks below, both straight up and against the spread, for the weekend.
