Week 7 SEC Picks: Straight up and against the spread

A very interesting slate

NCAA Football: Georgia at Florida Matt Stamey-USA TODAY Sports

It may be a small slate for the SEC this week, but it’s a fascinating one. We’ve got a massive game in the SEC East — one that might just determine who goes to Atlanta next month. Georgia and Florida will meet again (3:30 p.m. ET, CBS) for the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. There may be limited attendance, but the stakes remain the same.

Our staff is all on Georgia, outside of Nick Carner, who selected the Gators to win.

The obvious game of interest here is Tennessee-Arkansas, where it’s incredibly difficult to project a winner. The Razorbacks are competitive once again, and the Volunteers are struggling to find any offense. Both teams enter this one at 2-3. Tennessee is coming off of a bye week, so perhaps that gives them a small leg up.

Our staff is all on Tennessee, outside of Evan Winter, who took the Razorbacks. This one could go either way, and it’ll be interesting to see if the Vols made any improvement over the open date.
