Tennessee and Vanderbilt will meet in Nashville this evening, making up a game that was postponed two weeks ago. The SEC opted to shuffle the schedule around in an attempt to let all schools play ten games this season, which moved this game to December 12th.
The Commodores are 0-8 and in the thick of a coaching search just days ahead of Early Signing Day. Tennessee is also limping home in 2020, sitting at 2-6 as Jeremy Pruitt just tries to survive.
Vanderbilt has dealt with COVID issues for a few weeks now, which included pushing last week’s game with Georgia back to the 19th. It’s unclear just how many players they’ll have available tonight, creating a unique challenge for interim head coach Todd Fitch.
Tennessee is a big favorite here, more so likely due Vandy’s number struggles.
We’ll get another look at Harrison Bailey and J.T. Shrout today as Jeremy Pruitt has already said that he plans to move forward with a two-quarterback look to close out the season. After both saw positive days against Florida, let’s see what they can do against a weaker Vandy team here.
