Tennessee vs. Texas A&M: How to watch and open game thread

NCAA Football: Florida at Tennessee Randy Sartin-USA TODAY Sports

Finally, Tennessee’s 2020 regular season is drawing to a close. The Volunteers will play Texas A&M today after the two sides saw their game postponed several weeks ago. The Aggies are now the fifth-ranked team in the country, looking for some help today to sneak into the playoff.

The Volunteers have had a few news items break this morning, beginning with the coaching staff. Defensive coordinator Derrick Ansley and running backs coach Jay Graham will not be available today, due to COVID concerns. That means Jeremy Pruitt will call the defense today for Tennessee.

Additionally, Tennessee will be without top running back Eric Gray and reserve quarterback Brian Maurer. This expands Ty Chandler’s role, likely along with freshman Jabari Small. For an offense that has struggled against any team not named Vanderbilt, losing its best playmaker seems like a big deal.
