Tennessee’s highest ranked commitment has officially signed with the Volunteers. Dylan Brooks, a high four-star prospect out of Alabama, sent in his papers this New Year’s Eve afternoon.

Brooks is 6-5, 250 pounds and figures to immediately be in the rotation for Tennessee at outside linebacker. The 2021 prospect ranks 51st overall in the class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He joins a pass rush that will feature Tyler Baron, Morven Joseph and Roman Harrison. Tennessee is looking to replace Deandre Johnson, who entered the transfer portal earlier this week.

Brooks committed to Tennessee on April 26th. He held offers from several premier schools, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Texas and Oklahoma. Brooks had teased the idea of waiting until February to sign, but as it turns out, he actually signed during the early period.

Tennessee currently has the 15th ranked recruiting class in the country with 19 signatures. Four-star receiver Jordan Mosley, three-star athlete Roc Taylor and three-star tackle Colby Smith are the only remaining commitments that have yet to sign.
